General Membership Information

Who can apply for PJ&RI membership?

Any individual who:

  • Is a citizen or legal resident of Pakistan or a Pakistani national living abroad
  • Is at least 16 years old
  • Has 10–14 hours/week availability (except General and Advisory Members)
  • Meets educational or interest alignment requirements
  • Has no criminal record involving moral turpitude, fraud, or violence
What are the categories of membership in PJ&RI?
  • General Members
  • Outreach Ambassadors
  • Divisional Members
  • Core Members
  • Advisory Members
What are the responsibilities of General Members?

They can participate in activities and events but cannot hold administrative positions unless appointed.

Who are Outreach Ambassadors?

Members representing PJ&RI in institutions or communities for engagement and recruitment. They don’t have administrative authority but may gain recognition based on performance.

What are Divisional Members?

General Members assigned to PJ&RI divisions with specific tasks under Division Directors.

Who are Core Members?

They are Directors of Divisions and play key roles in planning, execution, and leadership.

What are Advisory Members?

Professionals or former members who provide strategic, non-executive guidance without being involved in daily operations.

Application & Onboarding Process

How can I apply for membership?

By submitting an online application through PJ&RI’s Membership Portal at www.pjri.org during the intake windows.

What does the application include?
  • Personal and academic information
  • Availability for volunteer work
  • Declaration of commitment to PJ&RI’s vision
  • Disclosure of any conflict of interest
What happens after submitting the application?

Your application will go through initial screening, and if shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview via email or WhatsApp.

Is the interview mandatory?

Yes. Shortlisted applicants must attend a virtual interview to be considered for final selection.

What rights do members have?
  • Access to PJ&RI programs and forums
  • Eligibility to participate in events and leadership positions

  • Representation in advocacy programs

Member Duties & Conduct

What are the key duties of a PJ&RI member?
  • Follow the Code of Conduct
  • Participate actively in programs
  • Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality
  • Represent PJ&RI responsibly
  • Comply with internal policies and leadership instructions

Tenure, Renewal & Resignation

What is the duration of membership?

Each membership lasts for one year, but the ending date is fixed based on the intake cycle: For the Fall Cycle, membership ends on 30th September For the Spring Cycle, membership ends on 31st March This means your membership will expire on the above dates, even if you joined later within the cycle.

How can I renew my membership?

By applying through the portal and paying the renewal fee during the next cycle.

Can I resign from PJ&RI?

Yes. Submit a written resignation with your full name, CNIC, and Membership ID to the HR & Membership Division.

Suspension & Termination

Can my membership be suspended?

Yes, for reasons such as:

  • Inactivity for over 60 days
  • Code of Conduct violations
  • Misuse of PJ&RI’s name or resources
What happens after suspension?

You may request reactivation by complying with the terms and paying any dues.

Can my membership be terminated?

Yes, for serious violations like:

  • Misrepresentation
  • Repeated misconduct
  • Criminal conviction

Termination is approved by the Executive Board.

Is there an appeal process after termination?

Yes. You may file a written appeal within 10 working days to the Executive Board.
